The headline CPI (for all urban areas) annual inflation rate in July 2015 was 5,0%. This rate was 0,3 of a percentage point higher than the corresponding annual rate of 4,7% in June 2015. On average, prices increased by 1,0% between June 2015 and July 2015.
The provinces with an annual inflation rate lower than or equal to headline inflation were Gauteng (4,9%), Mpumalanga (4,7%),Eastern Cape (4,6%), Northern Cape (4,6%), KwaZulu-Natal (4,3%), North West (4,1%) and Limpopo (3,8%).
The provinces with an annual inflation rate higher than headline inflation were Free State (5,4%) and Western Cape (5,2%).
